What to expect and why
My initial training with adults is in Emotion-Focused Therapy, which I have found to be a wonderful approach to really help clients find the root cause of their struggles. My practice has now developed to draw on an integrative model, which means I work in a variety of ways in order to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, whatever they may be. I may use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred activities or solution focused strategies with you. I have found over the years that this is the most effective way of helping others.
In my work with adults, the therapeutic relationship is central. A strong connection helps you access and transform your emotional experiences.
I also draw on other counselling approaches, such as CBT, when appropriate.
Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of every individual, providing the effective one-on-one support that you need.
